Civil Estimator
Position Overview:
We are looking for a Civil Estimator to join our team and be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Civil and Construction earthworks and be knowledgeable in the bidding process.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze plans and specifications to accurately estimate the cost of civil construction projects
Work with the Project Manager to develop cost estimates for project bids
Prepare bidding documents including scope of works, project timelines, and cost estimates
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best price for materials and services
Monitor the progress of the project and update the project cost estimates as needed
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects
Generate reports outlining the progress of the project and cost estimates
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
5+ years of experience in civil construction or earthworks
Proven success in cost estimating and bidding projects
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimating software
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
