We are seeking a skilled Civil Estimator to join our team and contribute to the success of various public and private sector projects. Civil Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of civil engineering projects, including site development, roadways, bridges, and utilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and extensive knowledge of civil construction processes and materials.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
-Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate cost projections.
-Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather project scope and requirements.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with estimates.
-Analyze and compare vendor and subcontractor pricing for best value and accuracy.
-Participate in value engineering processes to provide cost-saving solutions.
-Prepare bid packages and ensure timely submission of proposals.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, materials, and industry trends.
-Track project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
-Foster relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support ongoing business development.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
-5+ years of experience in civil estimating, particularly in infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, etc.).
-Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and contracts.
-Proficient in estimating software such as Bluebeam, HCSS, or similar.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
