Commercial Construction Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing comprehensive cost estimates for various commercial construction projects, including healthcare, life science, and educational facilities. This role requires strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
  • Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary project information.
  • Manage and review change orders, submittals, and RFIs throughout the construction process.
  • Utilize Procore software for project management and estimating tasks.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and validate estimates.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide support during the bidding process and assist in the selection of subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a commercial construction estimator
  • Strong knowledge of Procore and other construction management software.
  • Familiarity with change orders, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Experience in estimating for healthcare, life science, and educational projects is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
