Concrete Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of concrete projects, including commercial, municipal, and residential projects. The Concrete Estimator will analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to provide cost-effective solutions while ensuring project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for concrete work.
Prepare detailed take-offs and cost calculations for materials, labor, and equipment needed for concrete projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and provide input on design and cost-saving opportunities.
Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and MS Office to create and manage estimates and project documentation.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure project timelines are met.
Assist in preparing and submitting bid proposals for commercial, municipal, and residential projects.
Continuously monitor project budgets and adjust cost estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Concrete Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction processes and materials, including flatwork and SUDAS standards.
Proficiency in using software applications such as Bluebeam, MS Office, and Procore for estimating and project management.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to work with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
