Position Overview
The Director of Capital Projects is responsible for overseeing and managing all capital project initiatives within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the construction, refinery, and petrochemical sectors, ensuring they meet specifications, budgets, and timelines while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Compensation: $150k - $225k base DOE + performance incentives

Key Responsibilities

Lead and direct capital project initiatives from inception to completion.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control measures are implemented effectively.
Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout all project phases.
Utilize project management software, such as Primavera, to plan, schedule, and track project progress.
Travel between Louisiana and Texas

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital project management within the industrial construction industry
Proven track record of managing large-scale industrial projects from conception to completion.
Strong understanding of cost control processes and budgeting for capital projects.
Familiarity with project management tools and software, particularly Primavera.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
