What You'll Do

As a Drives Systems Engineer, you'll be the technical lead on projects involving Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and coordinated control systems. You'll collaborate with project managers and designers to:

Design and implement drive and control systems
Develop functional specifications, system architecture, and test plans
Program PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems
Commission and tune drive systems at customer sites (20-40% travel)
Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize control systems
Support sales with technical input and cost estimates
Deliver exceptional customer service and training

What You Bring

Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering
5+ years of experience in drive system programming, field service, and commissioning
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, instrumentation, and industrial networks
Proficiency with tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and engineering software
Valid driver's license
P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation is a plus
