Position Overview: The Tax Manager will be responsible for providing tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to high net worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review Federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and gifts
- Provide tax planning strategies to assist clients in minimizing tax liabilities with emphasis on legal and IRS regulations
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Respond to IRS notices and requests for information
- Manage client tax projects and deadlines
- Research tax issues
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients
- Advise clients on the choice of entity and tax-efficient strategies
- Identify and research tax savings opportunities
- Represent clients during audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- CPA required
- Generalist experience is a Plus
- 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, and 990 experience
- Manufacturing industry experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
