Tax Manager

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee the company's tax compliance and reporting processes, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations. This role involves managing tax planning, coordinating audits, and providing guidance on tax strategies to optimize the company's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns for S-Corps, C-Corps, and partnerships
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities
Coordinate and manage tax audits and interact with tax authorities as necessary
Provide guidance and support to management on tax-related matters
Prepare and review financial reporting related to tax provisions and liabilities
Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and evaluate their impact on the organization
Train and mentor junior staff on tax compliance and accounting practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification is required; EA designation is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting and compliance
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Experience with S-Corps, C-Corps, and partnership tax structures
Proficiency in financial reporting and tax preparation software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
